JACKSON CHINA - Dinner Plate - PAUL McCOBB DESIGN
A Dinner Plate crafted in vitrified china for a company called Bar-Wood Inc by the former Jackson China Co. Falls Creek, PA. (1917-1985) (Photo 1)
The unknown pattern features Paul McCobb Design, All White Body, Fade Red Edge and Viking Sailing Ship. (Photos 2-4)
The Plate measures 10" diameter at the Rim, 6 3/4" diameter at the Foot, and 7/8" deep.
It weighs 1 Lb, 13 Oz.
It bears the Jackson China back stamp and Paul McCobb signature shown in Photo 5.
It does not bear a Jackson date code which was a letter/number for the year/month used from 1951 to 1985. Consequently, seller believes this plate was made before 1951.
This Dinner Plate is not new and has a use history. It has no chips, cracks or crazing but does have visible utensil marks and glaze wear. Although the designer Paul McCobb died in 1969, his distinctive dinnerware shapes were allegedly produced by Jackson China into the late 1970s. Seller was not able to locate a company with the name; Bar-Wood Inc.
